A good trick, thanks to Rock Rivard, Shellie Cramer and Jack LaRue: Go to the
dollar store and buy the medium to large size laundry baskets. Cut out a
couple sections to fit over the vine and then place the basket over the fruit.
This will keep most rodents out and also act as an early shade device. Cost
runs about $1.00 each at the dollar store.
