Re: Secondary vs. Main Vine


Hi Don,

If the pumpkin on the main vine is growing well, is at least
10' to 12' from the stump and has good shape and a clean
pollination, there is not many top growers out there that
wouldn't go with that one.  The biggest fruit usually come from
the main vine.

I would cull the fruit on the secondary now or the next few
days.  You have maybe a week or two to decide if you want to
keep the one on the secondary main.  

Most of the biggest pumpkins are grown alone on the plant...
