Re: Amount of nutrients to each plant

The vines are anywhere from 10 to 14 feet. I was going to cull at least one
plant each hill. My primary reason for three to start was for male flowers.
I am glad I did that to start because I have so far had two to one female to
male flowers. What I did was as far as my mounds are concern was to dig two
new holes 3 1/2 feet deep and 5 x 5 foot square. Thats a tremendous amount of
room for root growth. I kind of thought i could finish with two plants in
each hole/mound. So far I have had great difficulty setting a pumpkin. Last
year it was easy but this year is something else. The first few tries at setting
i was using not ready male flowers and it has been a faied effort so far. It
seems like I got the females before I had any vine growth. Now the vines are
starting to take off and some of the female buds are rotting at an early
stage. It is certainly an interesting adventure. One mound has a pukos, a 944
vader and a bobier. I am going to make my first application of Peter's Monday.
That would only be once a week on the 20-20-20 right Dave? I appreciate the
reply by the way. I am typing this just before I am hitting the hay. Ihope
it makes sense. Thanks again.
