It is not uncommon to see water emerge from a leaf stem when cut. I think the plant naturally stores water in the stem. It then absorbs it as needed in hotter wheather. Good luck, Jim NHGPGA

Although a first time grower, this seemed quite odd to me. The plant hadn't received water in two days in 95F heat. (That particular location is 50 miles from where I'm at, so I can't get there every day.) Does this happen from too much water at one time? Is this a bad thing? Many Thanks!
