I use thin nylon like (not Burlap) Camo Netting I get at Wal Mart.  It shades 
while letting enough Sun and Air though to prevent disease.  I usually buy it 
at the end of Hunting Season when it goes on clearance.  The only other thing 
that I could think of would be Tobacco shade cloth which is like a cheese 
cloth & is usually available at farm stores.  You can see a photo off it on the 
Web page, some of it is very faded from several years of use.
