RE: trimming vines

First check for color, make sure you keep all the green ones! LOL

Seriously, if all three were growing well, I would measure them over the
next few days to see which one is growing the slowest and cut it off. I
would leave the two better ones on the vine until you see a slow down in
your biggest one. Then it is time to start slowly cutting off the 'shock
absorber' fruit. This gives you a back-up should something happen early to
your big fruit, plus it will boost your growth later in the season.

You should only have to trim secondaries right near the fruit you are going
to keep, and only after it starts pulling off the ground. If you position
your vines correctly, you should not have to remove many.

Good luck.

Clear Day
Hi List!

I have 3 pumpkins set on my AG on the main vine. Should I be cutting off the
secondary vine yet? And when should I be deciding which one of these 3 to
keep
and cull the others? (first time grower from NW Ohio).

Thanks for the help!!!
