Hi Mark,
Have you tried borrowing a trap? Some governmental agencies in
some areas of the country will allow you to borrow a trap. Some
will even come out to put it out for you and take the critter to
another area. I used to have quite a number of customers in the
Northern Virginia area that had squirrel problems in their
houses (I had a gutter cleaning business there). I don't
remember which governmental agency they got the traps from but I
do remember one customer telling me that they only had to put
down a deposit and they got that back when they returned the
trap. If you know any local hunters, they might have a trap as
well. Asking locally might be your best bet since the problem
is already upon you.
