I think the ultimate way to get rid of raccoons and groundhogs is to get and
keep a large dog who likes to hunt. I have two Golden Retrievers, and in the
past month, the larger golden "Chaser" has nabbed and killed 3 groundhogs, 1
raccoon, 1 'possum, and a skunk. It works for me and the dogs love the chase.
