Potassium Nitrate

I acquired some potassium nitrate (Although I'm sure the Department of
Homeland Security is watching my house now), and was thinking about
trying it on one of my plants. Has anyone ever tried this and does
anyone have any dilution recommendations. I was thinking of trying 10:1.
