Leaves beginning to deteriorate
I am a central NJ grower with the largest plant (986 Checkon) I've ever had for
this time of the season: 20' main/2nd pumpkin pollinated yesterday at 16' out,
6 lobe flower.
Despite my use of Daconil fungicide and applications of liquid seaweed, the
leaves on the first half of the main vine already are showing brown dry edges.
I'm looking for advice from any and all who have suggestions for prolonging the
health of the leaves.
It's very high heat here - should I be misting the plant every day, and risk
powdery mildew arriving early? Thanks in advance for your help.
