Is is ok for fruit to grow from the extremities of a vine? newbie UK

My female flowers only grow at the ends of newly growing vines.  They have
only just started to appear, will more female flowers grow from the middle
of established vines? I am worried that my only fruits will grow at the
extremities of the plant and may not get optimal nutriment from the main
plant because it is so far away!
