Jason, I am using a product called Bug-in-a-Bag by Spectricide. It is a Japanese Beetle trap. It is non-toxic and should be hung downwind of your patch. Within 3 hours after I hung it up, the bag was over 1/3 full of beetles, estimating well over 100 beetles in the trap. If I could only get my neighbor's to hang the traps. It's worth a try.
My garden was starting to get devoured by the beetles and I had to stop it. Granted, I have only had it up for 3 days, but it has also been raining so the beetle count is down. Good luck with the groundhogs.
Debbie
