Re: spraying for bugs, etc. when and what


Jason, I am using a product called Bug-in-a-Bag by Spectricide.  It is a Japanese Beetle trap.  It is non-toxic and should be hung downwind of your patch.  Within 3 hours after I hung it up, the bag was over 1/3 full of beetles, estimating well over 100 beetles in the trap.  If I could only get my neighbor's to hang the traps.  It's worth a try.

My garden was starting to get devoured by the beetles and I had to stop it.  Granted, I have only had it up for 3 days, but it has also been raining so the beetle count is down.  Good luck with the groundhogs.
