Re: Pumpkin tripod sling type lifter plans

Dan,

Yes, I do. Well, they were on my website last year, but lately I have switched to a blog format, and my old pages are not available on the web anymore.

I do have pictures,... I should find them and post them to my current blog:

http://cliffsgiantpumpkin.blogspot.com

Like I say, they aren't there now, but give me a day or two and I'll see if I can get them posted.

My lifter uses 4x4 lumber, each leg of the tripod is 15 feet long. As I could only find 4x4 pressure treated lumber that was 12 feet long, I spliced the 12 footers to create 15 footers. Don't worry, they are sturdy.

When it comes to attaching them at the top, consider that you need a "middle" post and two side posts. The side posts are cut at a bit of an angle... that part I need the photo to describe... and a metal bar goes through a one-inch hole drilled through each post.

Once you get the tripod built, the rest is a chain lifter, and a sling.

Regards, Cliff

Subject: Pumpkin tripod sling type lifter plans

I am in the process of making a pumpkin lifter, the tripod and sling type.
Does anyone have plans / instructions they are willing to share, or website
information?

Thanks in advance,

Dan
