RE: pumpkins DIGEST V1 #75 (UNCLASSIFIED)

 Leigh,
I have had a similar model. It is 6 years old and works. The problem I had
is warping as the years go by so reassembly is a chore. The best greenhouse
I have is from one-by's out of the junk pile at Lowe's. I wrapped it with
reinforced fabric embedded plastic. It is light enough to leave together and
then move out of the way. I can send you "prints" if you want. I think the
total cost was $30 plus labor. Then again, my entire farm is held together
with bailing wire, duct tape and zip ties.
By the way, the zuccini cobler is great! Making brownies tonight!

Thanks George, that sounds like a good idea. Up until this point, I've been
leaving my windows dirty (also a good excuse for laziness). But I still get
a few hits a day.

Re those with chickens; I get Mother Earth News. They've been passing along
a lot of good hints for poultry protection. Some folks have outsmarted the
varmints in this string:

cting-Free-Range-Chickens.aspx

And a question - has anyone ever purchased any of these types of
greenhouses? http://www.patiostore.com/greenhouse/Greenhouses2.html
I'm thinking of buying the Dream House, but was wondering how long they hold
up. I would disassemble it for winter storage. Thanks for any advice.

We use bird netting in front of our large windows and it works. The birds do
see the netting even though it is hard for us to see. This has saved a lot
of birds.
