The Pumpkin Book
I've just read a pumpkin book, its very funny I found
It was written by Jack Breckenridge
And its very hard to put down
I recomend to everyone, get a copy and see
Its titled Pumpkins Are Orange
And you'll laugh until you wee
Its about a crazy pumpkin grower, who tries to do his best
To grow the biggest pumpkin in the world
And battles gophers, birds and pests
This guy knows everything, he thinks he's really clever
You can't tell him anything
Not now, not then, not ever
He has a local enemy, against who he plans and plots
One day he might get revenge
On those snotty little Gotrocks
He soon learns that pumpkin growing, is not all milk and honey
He should have listened to his wife Snooks
And saved himself some money
He's out to beat everyone, including his neighbor Itchy
And Snooks isn't always helpful
At times she's really bitchy
This man is a menace to everyone, and a danger to himself
And he soon ends up in hospital
Pumpkins are bad for his health
Theres not a trick in the book, that this man wouldn't try
And their not all good people in this story
Some cheat, some steal, some lie
It takes you through a season, from begining to the end
I can't tell you the whole story
But the good guys win, in the end.
