Pumkin Support

           Is there anything I should be putting under my pumpkin to
give it support to help it retain shape? prevent rot? or help growth?

           I remember in a '87 or '88 WPC
news letter a picture of a tire painted white to support the AG (500lbs
back then). I've been out of the loop for awhile.

           I have losened the vine around the stem area of the pumkin to
reduce stem stress.
 
            My 2 pumpkins are about the size of a volley ball. I could
swear it goes larger by the hour, just hoping it doesn't "explode".
