split vine.

Hi ,

  I have just found that my main vine has split wide open 15 ft out. the
vine is buried and just after the last portion of dirt it has split.
I have just pollinated my first female on monday and the split is along
the vine by the female flower. The split stretches between 2 leaves at 3
consecutive sections.  What will this do? can i do anything to repair
this damage.

 I'm from Quebec , are the rest of the northern growes as late as I am.
