Speaking of urine deterants, let's consider osteoporosis deterants. The
history of conjugated estrogens leads us to rural Kentucky where Wyeth
pharmaceuticals first produced this product. Estrogens rise in the
bloodstream of pregnant women to help support the placenta and child. These
estrogens are metabolized by conjugation in the liver and passed out in the
urine. Wyeth extracted the estrogens from the urine of pregnant women in Ky.
They paid the women by the gallon. Before long everyone in the family was
filling the jug and diluting the urine for more money. At that point Wyeth
switched to horses. Horses don't cheat. The brand name Premarin stands for
PREgnant MARes urINe.
Rumor has it that after the horses foal about 5 or 6 times, they are shipped
off to Canadian slaughter houses for processing. Is it true that horsemeat is
a delicacy in Canada?
Estrogens help maintain calcium in the bones of post-menopausal women. Avoid
tobacco smoke if you take estrogens(including oral contraceptives). Estrogens
and incompletely combusted hydrocarbons advance the blood clotting cascade and
can lead to heart attack, stroke and blood clots.
