post op. recovery

maybe you guys didn't see this, so hear it is again, any advice would be
most appreciated, thanks




yet another windy day here in ny.  2 of my secondaries had cracks
lengthwise.  one of them was a flat vine and was starting to split, then
it cracked almost from the base to the split.  I had to cut it off.  the
other vine i left on but has a 6" split it it.  In addition, one of my
bigger leaf stems by the base of the plant split.  I wrapped everything
tightly with guaze, and sprayed with my fungicide and insecticides.  Any
chance my plants going to survive this surgery?  Will the splits heal,
or will I have to continually nurse the plant for it's life?
