Scott,
My Brock 591 flattened and split where the main vine comes out of the soil 2
weeks after transplanting. I buried the flattened, split area and watered
heavily. I prepared to scrap it, but it came back growing strong. Those
Brocks are tenacious growers. I hope they pollinate well and are fruitful. I
wish you luck with your plant.
I hope that pumpkins are as resilient as children. They survive in spite of
what we do to them. On a daily basis I have to fight from trying to
fertilize, water or spray with some new pesticide or foliar mineral tonic. I
do so in fear of falling behind or losing the edge. Maybe I should sit back
and let it grow.
It must be time to go fishin,
