Is sand
the thing to do for under neath the pumpkins ?
To day I put a very small
mesh chicken wire layer and then
a piece of 1inch thick styro down , right under where my tenis ball size
pumpkin will rest down as it grows ., My thinking was the wire would prevent
moles, mice what ever, and the styro I saw Bill use in Medicine Hat . Thought
that might prevent bugs, Is it better to use sand?
Thanks to everyone who answered my earlier questions .
Tested
the ph on that new soil , It is VERY acidy .
Can I make a lime and water tea or
something to help bring it up? My pumpkin is sitting right in the middle of
this new soil.
The more I learn, the more I figure I don't know. If you know what I mean.
They sure know how to make a tennis ball shrink in Medicine Hat !!! Great
job guys !!!
I'm SOOOO jealous.
Great point about washing the pumpkin with 10% bleach water. Last year I
had a pumpkin get all white and moldy on the spot my daughter used to touch
allthe time .Pumpkin petting is now a thing of the past in our patch.
Ta Ta 4 Now,
Pumpkin Flower
