The pumpkin is set about 15 feet out and there is about another 5 feet of
vine beyond that. The side vines are slow to grow. I think I started to bury
them to early. I measured the pumpkin this morning and it is at 28 inches. A
4 inch growth in a 36 hour time span. Is that a good growth rate?
My second pumpkin on a Holland 817 blew its end off. I hope to set a new
pumpkin by Saturday or Sunday.
I have a Wallace 618(567.5x567.5) that is 30+feet long. I just set a few
pumpkins on it over the weekend. It is by far my best plant.
