I had some major problems with mosaic virus in my patch last year. It
started in August and pretty much ended my season. I believe it spread
through overhead watering. The lack of a strict pest control plan didn't
help either as aphids can spread the disease as well.
There is no treatment for it once it gets established. Rotation of
crops, thorough removal of infected plants, watering through soaker
hoses only, and control of pests are the most common steps to preventing
it.
