HOW MUCH fertilizer?!

O.K., I figured on feeding my pumpkins with Miracle Grow 15-30-15, at least
until fruit sets, but nothing ever mentions how MUCH to feed, as in how many
gallons at 1 Tablespoon per gallon. I read where someone said they fed about 4
POUNDS (POUNDS?) of it to his plants. That is confusing since I always measure
in gallons. I don't think it is supposed to be any stronger than 1 Tablespoon
per gallon. Tha standard recommendation on the package is 1 gallon for every
10 square feet. Should this be different for AG pumpkins? How do all the heavy
hittters do it? (and how often?) The AMOUNT of fertilizer is always left out
of all the stuff I have read about growing AG pumpkins! Oh, at planting time,
I did add an organic (Ringer) 7-7-7 granular fertilizer (with slow release
nitrogen) already. Anyway, can any of you give me some advise on this?
