Measurement problem

I tried for the first time to use the measurement methods that are in
World Class Giant Pumpkins, Vol 1. I used the Stellpflug method which
is to take the circumference (stem to blossom etc.) to the third power,
multiply by .00023, and add 20. This gave a logical 40 lbs or so for a
46in circumference. Next I tried the Dill method from the next paragraph
in the book - take the two over the top measurements, add them together
with the circumference, and multiply by 1.9. This gives me over two
hundred pounds.
Where is my error? The pumpkin is not loaded with depleted urnaium!
