N. Tewksbury, MA about 25 miles Northwest of Boston in the Merrimack River
Valley.
Planted 4/13/98 in prepared mounds, method used is the Direct Start Method
combined with the Compost Feeding Method listed on Dan’s Page with pictures.

After a disastrous weather month in June, July has been almost perfect. Warm
to moderately hot, much more sunshine but not much rain.
AG-480-97-GB a AG-553-92-GB child crossed with AG-717-91-MM, (Mike
MacDonald) and AG-798-95-PNZ, (Zehr).
Set 6/23 @12' 4" 106.5 c Growing Blossom End Up, Cartwheel Shape. Growth
rate 3- 3.5" per day..Have set a back up that is 39.5 c right now and not
rolling over.

Set 6/24 @16' 6" By far the most promising, 105 c Growing at 3.5 - 4" per day,
still very yellow tender skin. Looks like it’s mother. Has had Dill Rings
since a very early stage, seems to be handling them well though. I noticed
it’s mother had them too. Did it’s sister 977 have them?
Because both plants are doing very well I believe some of my intensive soil
preparation has helped. Hopefully this year I get out of my dry spell but,
you don’t know for sure until your on those scales.
