Boonville Update

Hi All,
        Here's an update from Boonville, CA.  My two plants are doing
great.  Thanks to Mike Brock for coming over to see them.  My largest plant
has set fruit.  I have elimiated all but four pumpkins.  I am positioning
the vine and fruit.  Probably by Friday I will be down to two fruit.  My
second plant is about a week behind the other plant.  I still have not
narrowed down to a few fruit, but I have identified the best so far.  Most
of the small pumpkins on this plant are growing at great angles and need
very litte positioning.  I'm getting ready to put up some shade structures.
Luckily the weather here has been quite nice.  This week it has been foggy
until noon, but who knows about next week it may be 100 plus.
        After having trapped the one gopher I haven't had any more problems
in the patch.
        Next week I am going to Maui so I am getting a pumpkin sitter.
