Hi,
this is only my second year growing so I'm no expert BUT, last year after
i picked my pumpkins , I pulled the plants to see the root balls ,and they
had been eaten up by what I call potatoe bugs , (sow bugs?) try putting down
a flatt board near your plant base and lift it the next morning if there are
a million potatoe bugs under there that could be it .
just a guess.
