Woke up to cucumber beetles this morning, the 80 degree temps
must have brought them out. Sprayed with sevin and watched the bugs die
slow painful deaths. My two 1 ton cross plants have 13 foot main vines and
one has a female flower on a secondary vine that will open in a couple of
weeks. I think the cooler than normal temps are slowing the
development of female flowers. Does anyone know if we get squash vine
borers in Southern California?
