2 months wiped out in 5 minutes

We had a severe thunderstorm rip through our area yesterday. My 4 plants,
which I have been babying for 2 months, received catastrophic damage. Golf
ball size hail and winds in excess of 80 MPH do not mix well with mature
pumpkin plants or even houses and trees for that matter. I had up a plastic
fence as a wind protector, that ended up a couple of lots over from my
property. Most of the mains are still rooted, but 95% of the leaves are
broken and on the ground. I'm not sure how the plants, which were about 35
feet in diameter, will react. It looks like disease heaven to me. All and
all not a very good day, but thank God no one was hurt.
