Well, i would put some wood outside.  Ok, just kidding.  Personally I would 
use my .22 which I built.  I have a scope which makes my gun acurate up to 
150 yards.  I would leave the fence down, go out about 100 yards away and 
weight.  Then I would kill, then hang it up by the patch as a deterent to 
others.  But that is just me
