This is some kind of radical (unplanned) experiment I have going here.  Upon 
first glance after the hail and wind storm, I thought my only option was to 
prepare for next year. The morning after, most of the new growth leaves had 
stood back up, although they looked like someone had taken a machine gun to 
them.  Today, I was able to clean up all of the destroyed leaves, vines and 
fruit.  What I have now is about a 15' to 20' circle in the center of each 
plant that is basically just vines.  I definitely won't have any trouble 
getting to the vines to spray for vine borers!
