Hello,
This is my first year growing.. I have 4 plants 1 1061, 2 762's, 1 800+
unnamed.
The Patch is doing well, 3 plants have 100-150 Leaves. 1 has a little less.
3 Fines are 12-14 feet in length.
I was away over the weekend for 2 days, My patch is fed by drip hose, and
small sprayers at the base of each plant.
My Sprinkler system for my lawn comes on every 3 days and hits about 30% of
the Patch (I figured it could not hurt).
Anyway, the valve that feeds this zone did not turn off. And the water ran
for 2 days.
The Problems:
The Left side secondaries about the last 2 feet and the main vine 2-3 feet
got hit bad. All the Leave broke down, the plant covered in mud.
The Main vine of the 1061 was hit the last 2-3 feet in the same way.
What I did :
Un Buried and Cleaned off all the Vines,
Washed all the leaves.
Cleared and raked all the soil.
I left the Leaves that where Broken on the vines.
Should I take leave off these off? The Main vines seem just as strong as
they where. I was planned on setting pumpkins this week, but I am sure this
is going to set me back 1-2 weeks.
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
John
