Hello list,
First off the gourds are running horizontil now. They have grown 7.5 feet verticle and are now starting to run on the trelis about 8 feet up. Both the 97 Clark and the 90.25 carlson look good.
The Lloyd 935 has a pumpkin set on it currently. Pollinated on june 25th and measured tonight at 40" even. Extreme heat and dry. there must be at least 20 pumpkins on the plant. A few other ones like large grapefruits or slightly bigger.
A few of the other plants have some the size of tennis balls or so. Most of these will probably abort due to the heat. To early to tell. I've had alot get bigger than this and then abort so I'm being a little cautious!!!
The Carlsons Dan and Beth
