RE: Epsom Salt

Thanks Beth for the background on epson salt.

Does anyone know about Scotts question ? How much to add per
gallon ? I have some summer squash that picked up blossom-end-rot.
Is blossom end rot also due to lack of pollination ? Does epson salt
work to correct blossom end rot as Scott experienced ?

Another good question someone posted was...how long do you leave
the female AG flower bagged after hand pollination ? Should I just wait
until the flower closes and begins to shrivel up ? or...leave it on until
the baby AG breaks out !

Thanks !

Bill

Epsom salts add magnesium, which can be tied up by imbalances in the NPK
ratio. If your leaves look yellow between the veins it can indicate
magnesium deficiency. I think some people just add it on general principles

- it's fairly innocuous even if there is no deficiency.
