Are you serious?! I just thought up this SAME idea a few days ago! (And just 
posted about it a few minutes ago)! Wow, do we have a psychic connection or 
something?! Scary!!!! Ha ha!
I would use a small strip of the nylon though for tying, since it seems 
gentler to the stem. Also, another benefit could be that nylon attracts 
static electricity. Some experiments showed that nylon used on tomato cages 
made the tomato plants more vigorous and healty then the ones tied with 
twine, because it attracted static electricity which went throughout the 
cage. Remember the "lightning" theory for Pumpkins? Ha ha!
