What is the procedure for pollinating in the rain?

We have a constant drizzle here and my first female flowers are getting
ready to open.  Unfortunately I have very few males and they open
sporadically.  If I do have a male available to pollinate when female #1
opens, and it is soaked, will the pollen still transfer?  Any advice?

Also, how long after opening are male and female flowers still viable?
