Hi everyone.
I have been reading everyone's updates and decided to contribute my progress
to the list. In the last few weeks I have seen damaging winds, a long heat
wave that burned the edges of many of my leaves, watched numerous
pollinations wither and die, a first sighting of the dreaded squash vine
borer moth, ( happened to have my trusty sprayer handy and gave it a shot
between the eyes) and due to my own clumsiness, a smashed main vine. Those
are the minuses, Here are the pluses.

845 Skrypcyack
This plant has the least foliage and the thinnest vines of my three plants.
It has one pumpkin that was set on 6\25. Today it's circumference was 57.5
inches. It is a well shaped fruit, nicely rounded.
Site# 2
720 Hester.
This is the strangest looking plant that I have had in my three years of AG
growing. It is tall and leafy. There are so many leaves per square yard on
this thing. It is nearly perfectly symetrical in shape. Like a large spear
point. It has only two recently pollinated pumpkins on it. All of the other
female flowers succumbed to the heat after pollination. Nevertheless, I have
high hopes for it.
Site# 3
859 Dalton
This plant is the favored child right now. She occupies about 900 sf. Has 8
or so pumpkins pollinated. The earliest on 6\19. Well today according to the
circumference est. chart, she passed the 100 pound mark with a circ
measurement of 70.5 inches. I'm thrilled, but at the same time worried. Too
much success too soon. Can she be in it for the long haul?
Good Growing everyone
