funky leaf update and Gramps advice

I still have no clues to what is causing my leaves to be stunted and light green. The pumpkin I pollinated on 6/27 was measured on Sunday at 58" and today it's mush. The other four sets on that plant are okay, as well as my sets on my other two plants. I decided unfortunately, to bring in an expert from my area, Gramps Jones, to my patch. Gramps has been growing AG's for awhile & vegetables since Noah packed the boat furthermore, he got myself and and quite a few others in my area started. He took a deep and thoughtful look at my two funky leaved plants then abruptly scuffled about twenty yards away from my patch, shook his old head, scratch his scruffy beard and said "I don't know what the heck ya got there boy, but it aint right". I replied sarcastically "Oh, ya think so.". Which spurred his response "Boy, I don't want you near my patch or bedder (better) yet my stead (property). Whitchever (whatever) ya got in dem (them) dang plants I don't want in mine and yous (you-ther!

is only one of me) might be infected.". This left me with my mouth open, speechless, and a little dumbfounded after being declared a pumpkin leper. As Gramps scrambled up the hill to his pre sixties Chevy truck, he made his pattened one final comment. "Boy, ya best get yo (your) butt to Mass and confession morrow' (tomorrow) night, cause it may be sumtin (something) ya done (did).". He then stopped, scratched his head and paused about twenty seconds before continuing "Don't ya be a going to early service, cause dat's (that's) da (the) one me and the misses is a going to and iff'n (if) yous (you-still just one of me) is infected I don't want to be near ya.".
So I feel much better (bedder) and I'll be inviting Gramps for dinner tonight...not. Although unusual, I really have not sinned overly much in the past week however, I guess my next step is "LATE" Mass tomorrow night.
