Well, the NPK numbers are all just ratios and only should be compared to each
other. So even though 21 is only 1% more than the 20 in 20-20-20, it is 3%
more than the N-P amounts in the 18-18-21. So if you apply MGT at a bit
higher concentration, you would get 20-20-23. That's how it would compare to
the 20-20-20.
But I agree, that isn't much difference! I think soil tests and pH should be
factored in, since all soil is different.
