It is mostly preventive, by strengthening the plant and increasing
resistance, etc. It works in way not yet fully understood, and also might
prevent formation of fungus on the leaves directly, etc. It might prevent the
spread of it, but I would use a combination of a fixed copper soap fungicide
in the late afternoon/evening twice a week and after rain, and foliar feed
with seaweed (no more than 1 Tablespoon per gallon) only in the early
morning, on the same days. Do any other foliar feeding (if any) on the
alternate mornings, and do an extra application of fungicide on those
evenings. Always make sure the fungicide is on the leaves over night,
especially if the humidity is high.
