Re Al Eaton (watering)

Marv,

I agree with your math, but do not agree
with your weight of water.  Water has a unit weight
of 62.4 pounds per cubic foot.  Therefore, each
square foot would need (62.4 / 12 =) 5.2 pounds
of water.   5.2 pounds of water equals  (5.2  / 8 =)
0.650 gallons.  1000 sf would need 650 gallons.

Right?

Ever notice how much more the garden seems
to grow after a little rain than it does after a lot of
watering?  Does barometric pressure have anything
to do with this?
