I had the same thing happen last year to a pumpkin of mine. I got the grub
out,
but it was too late. The damage was done. The pumpkin stopped growing.
I now put down something to control grubs. I also place boards under the
pumpkins.
I hope the titanic isn't sinking. I was looking forward to some competition
this year.
