Yes, that is the idea. Put water where these are roots. You have the
possibility of roots every time there is a leaf node on the vine. Where there
is a leaf, there is a tendril, and there is a rootlet, usually white, that
wants wet dirt to burrow into and develop "tap roots." That is why I have 300
or so drippers.
Do you bury your vines?
