Re: burying vines in grass

Thanks To all of you who gave me advise. I will go buy some more compost right now!
I have a feeling that I will also probably be saying goodbye to my lawn soon, because whats more important than growing pumpkins?!

Last year I burried quite a few vines in my lawn and had what I
considered great success. Well, maybe we should say that I burried the
vines where the lawn HAD BEEN. Having the values of a giant pumpkin
grower, I decided that vine was more important than lawn and I dug a
trench for the advancing vine and then burried it too. The grass pretty
much grew back during the winter, but like I said, I don't value lawn
that much (it wasn't exactly smooth when it came in, but that doesn't
really matter since I tilled up that part this year so I wouldn't have
to worry about vines growing over lawn again!)
