Karen,
Sounds like a sqaush bore might have enter the base of the stem or some
cucumber beetles have attacked the plant causing it to wilt.....mosiac
virus from the beetles. Try some liquid SEVIN to control these insects.
You have enough water because your other plants are thriving.
