Finally Planted!!!
Although I have fooled around with AG pumpkins casually before this is my first year of seriously trying to raise the big ones. I started my seeds in moist paper towels inside a zip lock bag. Kept them warm for 5 days and was amazed at how much they had sprouted.
I planted them in there permanant location today in a mixture of cow manure, top soil and potting soil. Some have said I am planting to late but here in Central Virginia the days and nights stay warm well into October so I should have plenty of time for them to exceed ther 120 day growng cycle. Does anyone agree?
Sorry for spouting off like this but I was just sort of excited to have planted and wanted to share it with someone!
Thanks,
Mark
