Borer Alert Survey
Well Gang....its time. Squash Vine Borer season is about to begin. Last year
they showed up early and often and even had a second wave due to early heat
and a hot summer. This year ,in the Northeast anyway,its been cool and
rainy(5 inches yesterday alone !!) so I would expect them to be a tad bit
later than usual.
I propose a "Borer Sighting" thread on this list. If you've seen one this
year sing out on the list with the day and your location. This will help
everyone east of the Rockies step up the controls at the right
time.......what do you say ? Havent seen any on Long Island,New York
yet............Glenn A.
