RE: Pumpkin vs Squash

Now that's the list I've come to love. Nothing like a good orange/green
debate. Thanks to all for the help.

As others have said, you can't always tell. Since the plant is a
cross-breed,
sometimes its ugly gray-green hideous color of death side does come
up. In
fact, I have to admit that two of my "give-away" pumpkins last year
had the
mark of death on them. Fortunately the children to whom I gave them
were too
	young to notice.

I've heard several references on the List to pumpkins that actually

green fruit,

concerned?

You surely should be concerned. Why would you join the likes of
LLpumpkin
(Glenn) in not just tolerating, but actually encouraging non-orange
pumpkins?

Orange is good, green is not. Unfortuately, sometimes you can have a
fruit go
bad in mid or late season. But through prayer and virtuous living
you may be
	spared this curse. ; -)
