Re: Acquiring Good Seed?

Mark,
If you want some great seed, send me a self addressed, stamped envelope,
postage paid, and I would love to send you some great seeds for free.. I have
tons of seeds, and I only grow a few a year..
Another option, (and probably a better one) is to join a pumpkin growing
organization such as the PGPGA (Pennsylvania Giant Pumpkin Grower's
Association) and they not only have great newsletters, great web site (
http://www.pgpga.com ), but also include a very nice package of seeds in
their yearly seed distribution. 2 years ago, each grower got a Checkon 815,
which in tun has sold for well over 100 bucks per seed in auctions..
I wish you the best of luck, and which ever ay you go, you will make out
well, much better than the 500 +, 600+, 700+ type seeds which you have no
idea where they came from, what the parentage is, or what you will get in
color.. Most seeds, with a little bit of research and good parentage, will
allow you to know the growing tendencies, whether it be color, pumpkin shape
(yes there are more than the usual shapes when it comes to Atlantic Giants),
and growing vigor...
